RESUMETerry Brainerd Chadwick is the President of InfoQuest! Information Services. She founded InfoQuest! in 1986, and has done more than 98 research projects, 20 Internet projects (not including training, writing, teaching), 14 writing and reviews projects, and 22 teaching and training projects. Ms. Chadwick has been doing business research for more than twenty-five years and uses her extensive Internet, research and business intelligence background to help clients strategize their marketing and Internet policies. She has special expertise in high technology, computer, telecommunications, internet topics, company and business information. She has worked on projects as diverse as directing the development of a national non-profit corporation's website; evaluating and promoting many companies' websites; identifying online databases for a global trade information system; doing competitive intelligence for telecommunications & software companies; researching the desktop videoconferencing market; locating international buyers for street lights; and identifying advertising options for penetrating the German home exercise market. She has been using the Internet to assist businesses in marketing their products since 1991. Ms. Chadwick worked as an Internet research analyst for DAT Services, a transportation information services company. She operated the Trade Information Service at Portland State University's International Trade Institute for five years, assisting businesses with international trade market research. She developed and ran the Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Oregon corporate library for three years, conducting database research on medical, insurance, management, and computer-related issues. Ms. Chadwick has been an adjunct faculty member at Marylhurst College and Portland State University, teaching seminars on the Internet and other information resources. She speaks at major information conferences, including the National Online Conference and Internet World; has written many articles on business information resources, computer networking, and online search techniques; and teaches seminars on these subjects. Her publications include "Using the Internet for Practical Business Research & Development," "U.S. Government Bulletin Board Systems," "Using Databases for Competitive Intelligence & Cost-Effective Market Research," "Accessing the 'Global Village' through Local Bulletin Board Systems," and "Trade Information Services Online." She is a member of Internet Professionals Northwest (IPN) (Vice-President, 1996-1997), Association of Independent Information Professionals (AIIP) (Board member, 1997), Special Libraries Association (Past President OR chapter, 2000-2001; President, 1999-2000; President-Elect, 1998-1999), Computer-Humand Interaction Forum of Oregon (CHIFOO), and the Software Association of Oregon.
