Web site Performance Audits and Optimization Services

The fee for these projects are negotiated on a case by case basis.

Depending on the project we negotiate, we:

1. Work with you to define company or departmental goals, target audience, and promotion requirements for your company, services, and products.
2. Research your current presence on the Internet in search engines, directories, related niche sites and portals; sites belonging to customers, clients and distributors; your online advertising and marketing campaigns; and other measures of Internet presence.
3. Research competitors' presence on the Internet, including search engine positioning, keywords, and promotion strategies.
4. Identify potential marketing, advertising, and promotional opportunities.
5. Review and evaluate the your website on promotion optimization factors (includes analysis of traffic logs and standards validation).
6. Review and evaluate your web site for compliance with national and international accessibility regulations and guidelines, and provide suggestions for how to comply.
7. Write up analysis of research and recommendations for increasing your exposure on the Internet, including search engine marketing strategy.
8. Prepare recommendations to optimize your web site for search engine/directory/portal placement.
9. Meet with your marketing and web development staff to discuss the evaluation and recommendations.
10. Implement the recommendations.

Accessibility Audits

A web site accessibility audit examines and evaluates a web site for its accessibility and general usability; provides recommendations for solving accessibility and usability problems; and recommends a phased priority-based strategy for implementing the recommendations in a practical and effective manner.

We provide two types of accessibility audits:
• Quick Accessibility Snapshot ($900)
  We will conduct a brief review of some sample web pages/templates, using some automated accessibility and HTML standards validators, along with a manual "initial impressions" review, and write a report that provides suggestions on how to bring your web site into compliance with accessibility guidelines.


• Full Accessibility Audit (fee depends on the size of the web site and depth of analysis wanted)
  A full, or custom, accessibility audit includes everything in the Snapshot. The audit covers a broader and more in depth review of the web site , such as
1. evaluations of more pages with both automated validators and a manual evaluation to locate problems that the automated tools don't identify
2. a comparison of the reviewed pages with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and Section 508 standards
3. usability testing involving a heuristic evaluation and/or evaluation of the site by users who are disabled using available assistive technologies, and
4. a write-up of results, with recommendations for phased implementation of solutions.

Market Research and Information Resources Assessment

InfoQuest!'s basic fee structure for research and needs assessment is $60 to $75 an hour plus expenses--online costs, phone, fax, document retrieval, etc. Jobs are usually bid on a project basis, with the bid representing a ceiling that requires further authorization to exceed. A deposit of one-half of the quoted amount is due up front.

Customized Internet and Online Research Training

Half-day consultations start at $300. Small group and seminar rates are $75 per person per half day, with a minimum of $300. For full day training and seminar rates contact InfoQuest!. Prices quoted do not include travel expenses. Prices are negotiable depending on the type of training, number of people, sponsoring organization, etc.

Mailing List Administration

InfoQuest! will set up and maintain mailing lists for discussion groups or newsletters. Initial labor setup fees are $300; maintenance is $30/hr. These fees do not include the setup and other costs of the ISP hosting the mailing lists.
